Itinerary:
Day 01: Damascus Int’l Airport
- Upon arriving at Damascus International Airport and completing the required visa formalities, embark on your journey to the enchanting capital city of Damascus, Syria. Renowned for its diverse religious, ethnic, and cultural heritage, Damascus promises a fascinating experience for all visitors.
- Your drop-off point will be Bab Touma, the north-eastern gate associated with the old city’s Christian neighborhood.
- Stroll along the ancient roadway to a boutique hotel located in the heart of old Damascus for overnight stay.
Day 02: Damascus
- Embark on a captivating journey through the rich cultural and religious tapestry of Damascus. Begin your adventure at the legendary Cave of the Blood, nestled within the majestic Mount Qassioun. - Begin your day by venturing to the resting place of Ḥujr Bin Adi bin Jabala al-Kindī, a devoted companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and one of the esteemed companions of Imam Ali. This noble and wise man from Kufa is honored in this sacred site, where visitors can immerse themselves in the timeless teachings he championed.
- Continue your pilgrimage to Sayyidah Zaynab shrine, the most important Shia site in Syria and a major destination for Shia Muslims across the Middle East. Located approximately ten kilometers southeast of Damascus, this revered sanctuary pays tribute to the daughter of Imam Hussein, the granddaughter of Imam Ali, and the great granddaughter of the Prophet Muhammad.
- Venture next to the Bab al-Saghir Cemetery, where the tombs of numerous prominent figures from the early history of Islam can be found. The most renowned of these is the resting place of Sukayneh, the daughter of Imam Hussein, the granddaughter of Imam Ali, and the great granddaughter of the Prophet Muhammad. Nearby, you will find the domed tomb believed to belong to Fatimeh, the daughter of Prophet Muhammad and the wife of Imam Ali. Just a short walk away, pay your respects at the tomb of Bilal Bin Rabah, one of the closest companions of the Prophet Muhammad.
Day 04: Damascus – Bosra – Damascus Int’l Airport
- Travel south towards the UNESCO-listed site of Bosra, once the capital of the Roman province of Arabia and an important stopover on the ancient caravan route to Mecca. Marvel at the magnificent 2nd-century Roman theater, explore the early Christian ruins, and wander through the mosques within the great walls of this historic city. Visit the Al-Omari Mosque, one of the oldest surviving mosques in Islamic history, and the Mabrak Mosque, which is said to mark the spot where the camel carrying the first copy of the Quran to Syria knelt to rest. Venture also to the Monastery of Bahira, the monk who is believed to have met the young Prophet Muhammad during his travels to Syria.
