Day 01: Amman Int’l Airport
  • Upon your arrival at Amman Int’l Airport, Jordan, you will be greeted and welcomed by our professional representative.
  • From there, you will be escorted to your hotel in Amman, a captivating and cosmopolitan city renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and modern amenities.
Day 02: Amman – As-Salt
  • Embark on a visit to the ancient town of As-Salt, renowned for its historical significance as the key trading link between the eastern desert and the western region. Explore the downtown area and visit the museum to delve into the town’s rich heritage.
  • Adjacent to As-Salt, you’ll find the tomb of Ayyub (Job), a revered figure known for his unwavering loyalty to God despite enduring immense hardships. Take a moment to visit this sacred site, which commemorates the life of Ayyub, a wealthy and influential man of his time.
  • Afterward, return to Amman, where you will embark on a panoramic tour that allows you to experience the city’s vibrant energy and witness its architectural diversity. While this tour doesn’t include stops at specific sites, you’ll have the opportunity to appreciate the city’s landmarks, modern infrastructure, and bustling streets. Take in the panoramic views of Amman’s skyline, capturing the essence of this dynamic metropolis.
Day 03: Amman – Jerash – Anjara – Tel Mar Elias
  • Begin your journey by heading to the ancient Roman city of Jerash. This remarkable archaeological site is known for its exceptionally well-preserved ruins, providing a glimpse into the grandeur of the Roman Empire. Explore the paved and colonnaded streets, marvel at the soaring hilltop temples, and admire the theaters, spacious public squares, plazas, baths, fountains, and city walls. Jerash offers a rich tapestry of historical and architectural wonders, allowing you to immerse yourself in the splendour of this ancient city.
  • Proceed to Anjara, a town with profound religious significance. It is believed that Jesus Christ, his mother Mary, and his disciples passed through this area and found rest in a nearby cave. Today, this cave is commemorated with the church of Our Lady of the Mountain, a pilgrimage site that attracts devout Christians from around the world. Experience the spiritual atmosphere of Anjara and take a moment to reflect on the historical events that unfolded in this sacred place.
  • To the west of Anjara, you’ll find Tall Mar Elias, another site of great religious importance. This is where the prophet Elijah is believed to have ascended to Heaven in a whirlwind on a chariot of fire. The site holds deep significance for those who follow the Abrahamic faiths and is revered as a place of spiritual connection and inspiration. Visit Tall Mar Elias and reflect upon the stories and teachings associated with the prophet Elijah.
  • It’s worth noting that both Tall Mar Elias and Anjara have been designated as Millennium 2000 Pilgrimage sites by the Vatican, further highlighting their significance in religious history.
Day 04: Amman – Pella – Um Qais
  • Begin your journey by transferring to the ancient site of Pella. Here, you can explore the remains of a Chalcolithic settlement dating back to the 4th millennium BC. Pella offers a fascinating glimpse into ancient civilizations, with archaeological finds that include houses, pottery, and other artefacts from different periods. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to discover Byzantine churches and houses, which provide insight into the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage. Don’t miss the chance to visit the small medieval mosque, adding another layer of architectural diversity to the site.
  • Proceed to Um Qais, formerly known as Gadara. This city holds great historical significance and is famous for being the site of the Gadarene swine miracle mentioned in biblical narratives. In addition to its religious associations, Um Qais was a renowned cultural center during its time and was the home to several classical poets and philosophers. Immerse yourself in the history of this ancient city as you promenade through its streets and witness the remnants of its past splendour.
  • As you explore Um Qais, you’ll encounter notable landmarks such as a colonnaded street, which showcases the city’s architectural grandeur, and a vaulted terrace that provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. The ruins of two theaters stand as a testament to the city’s cultural and artistic heritage, serving as venues for theatrical performances and other events in ancient times. Take your time to appreciate the historical significance and architectural beauty of these structures.
Day 05: Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Kerak – Petra
  • Travel to Madaba, a city renowned for its mosaic art. Madaba is best known for the famous 6th-century Mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. This intricate mosaic map, located in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, depicts biblical scenes and provides a unique historical perspective. In addition to the mosaic map, Madaba is home to spectacular Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics that adorn various churches and archaeological sites throughout the city. Take your time to admire the craftsmanship and artistic beauty of these ancient mosaics.
  • Proceed to Mt. Nebo, a significant biblical site. According to tradition, Mt. Nebo is the place where Moses was granted a view of the promised land before his passing. Although the church on the site may be closed for renovation, you can still explore the area and witness the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. Stand in the same location where Moses stood and reflect on the historical and spiritual significance of this revered site.
  • Head south to visit Kerak Castle, a remarkable Crusaders’ Castle dating back to the 12th century. Located on a triangular plateau, Kerak Castle offers a glimpse into the medieval history of the region. Highlights include the iconic Treasury, impressive tombs, the Theater, and the Monastery. Explore ancient temples, dwellings, and a sophisticated water management system. Day 07: Petra – Mukawir – Bethany – Dead Sea
  • Travel to Mukawir (also known as Machaerus), an ancient hilltop fortress located near the eastern shore of the Dead Sea. Mukawir is famous for its association with the biblical figure of Herod the Great and the imprisonment and execution of John the Baptist. Explore the ruins of the fortress and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding desert and the Dead Sea.
  • From Mukawir, head to Bethany Beyond the Jordan, a significant biblical site located on the eastern bank of the Jordan River. It is believed to be the place where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.   • Transfer to Amman Int’l Airport for your departure flight, bidding farewell to Jordan with cherished memories of its rich history, cultural heritage, and warm hospitality; or extend your journey to include Syria and Lebanon alongside your visit to Jordan.
