Visa to Syria – Travel Advice
- It’s essential to be aware of the strict regulations set by Syrian authorities regarding travel to Israel and self-ruled territories. If border officials find any indications in your passport that suggest previous visits to Israel while processing your Syria visa on arrival, you will be denied entry.
- These restrictions extend to passports with visas or entry/exit stamps from Israel and self-ruled territories, as well as stamps from specific border crossings with Israel that you may have used when traveling through neighboring countries like Jordan or Egypt. If such stamps are present, Syrian immigration officials will refuse entry immediately.
- To ensure a smooth entry into Syria, travelers must understand the importance of their passport stamps and plan their itineraries carefully. The goal is to avoid any complications related to perceived associations with Israel during your entry process.
Land Border Crossings
To prevent being refused entry into Syria, please avoid entry/exit stamps from the following land border crossings:
Jordan Border Crossings:
- Wadi Araba Crossing/South Border

- Sheikh Hussein Crossing/Northern Border
Egypt Border Crossings:
