Visa to Syria is the most important issue to ask about when you plan to travel to Syria. Most tourists typically arrive at Beirut International Airport and then travel overland to Syria. Beirut International Airport is the easiest and most popular entry point. Another option is to travel through Amman, Jordan, to reach Syria. The journey from Beirut International Airport to Damascus city usually takes around three to four hours, depending on border security measures.
To reach Damascus International Airport, you can consider Syrian Airlines, a government-owned airline, or Cham Wings Airlines, a privately-run airline. These airlines currently operate flights from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Moscow, Cairo, Kuwait, Baghdad, and Beirut.
Nawafir services provide meet and assist as well as transportation services at your preferred port of entry. Our on-ground team has undergone extensive screening, and we take additional security measures to ensure your safety.
Obtaining a visa for Syria is relatively straightforward based on nationality. As your host/sponsor, Nawafir Tours will apply for your security clearance and visa reference approval code. You will need to provide a scanned copy of your passport’s information pages, with at least six months of validity. Upon arrival at the designated border crossing, you shall get the 15-day visa as a stamp on your passport rather than a sticker.
Visa fees vary depending on nationality, ranging between US$ 35 and US$ 160.
Please note that you can still apply through functioning Syrian embassies. The process can take up to two months and can be challenging. It involves submitting paperwork explaining your travel plans and goals, as well as a letter of invitation from Syria.
Please note that a visa or stamp for Israel or the self-governing areas in your passport will result in an immediate entry refusal at all Syrian/Lebanese ports of entry.
Important to note also that a stamp of entry to Sharm Al Shikeh, Mars al-Alam and Hurghada, Egypt, leads to immediate entry refusal at all Syrian ports of entry.
